Welcome To Principia Primary School

Principia Primary School is a proudly independent, co-educational parallel medium school situated in the heart of the Little Karoo, in Oudtshoorn. Principia Primary opened its doors in January 2011 and grew out of the former Principia College when a group of parents felt there was a need in Oudtshoorn for a dual medium, independently minded private school that could provide a progressive approach to curricula presented by well qualified, experienced teachers in a loving and caring, secure environment.

At the moment we cater for Grades R, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. As our children progress through the grades we will add a new grade each year.

Currently Principia Primary School is being run by a dedicated Management Committee consisting of parents and educators from within the school as well as from the broader community.

Principia Primêr, 'n onafhanklike dubbelmedium skool geleë in die skilderagtige Klein Karoo dorp Oudtshoorn, open sy deure in Januarie 2011. Dié laerskool het gegroei uit die voormalige Principia Kollege en het sy onstaan te danke gehad aan 'n groep plaaslike ouers wat gehoor gegee het aan 'n werklike behoefte vir 'n dubbelmedium, privaatskool met 'n onafhanklike denkrigting in die Oudtshoorn-omgewing. 

Principia Primêr volg 'n progressiewe benadering tot die bestaande kurrikulum wat deur goed gekwalifiseerde, erfare onderwysers in 'n liefdevolle, veilige omgewing aangebied word. Slegs Grade R, 1, 2, 3,4 and 5 word tans gehuisves. Soos leerlinge deur die grade vorder sal daar jaarliks 'n nuwe graad bygevoeg word.  

Principia Primêr word gelei deur 'n toegewyde Bestuurskomitee wat bestaan uit ouers en opvoeders binne die skool sowel as die breër gemeenskap.
