Former Principians

ROHAN MINNAAR

Rohan Minnaar matrikuleer in 2005 aan Principia Kollege.

In 2006 begin hy met sy studie in Sportbestuur.
In 2008 doen hy sy 6 maande praktiese deel van die kursus by die Boschenmeer Gholflandgoed buite Paarl.
In 2009 doen hy sy tesis, met die titel "Sport Facilities and Development in small communities". Dit word hoog aangeskryf en hy voltooi sy B Tech Graad : Sport Bestuur.

Hy is tans in 'n baie opwindende werk by FIFA in 'n Junior Bestuurspos by die Groenpunt Stadion in Kaapstad.
Na die FIFA 2010 wêreldbeker beplan hy om te reis, en sy eerste bevestigde bestemming is Suid-Korea

ROHAN MINNAAR

DR PW ERASMUS

PW het na sy matriekjaar by Principia aan die Universiteit van die Wes-Kaap gaan studeer in Tandheelkunde. Hy het in 2006 sy Doktorsgraad verwerf en doen tans sy Gemeenskapsdiensjaar op Cradock. In PW se matriekjaar in 2001 het hy juis die hoofrol (nl dié van ‘n tandarts) in Principia se musiekblyspel, Little Shop of Horrors, vertolk! En hy het ‘n baie goeie stem gehad!

BERTINE MALAN

Bertine het in 2000 aan Principia Kollege gematrikuleer. Sy het al hoe meer probleme met haar sig ervaar en dit het meegebring dat alle inligting vir haar vergroot moes word. Bertine het in 2001 aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch Teologie begin studeer. In 2004 verwerf sy haar eerste graad BTh (cum laude), haar Mdiv-graad in 2005 en voltooi haar studies met haar Lisensiaat in Teologie (cum laude) in 2006. In Januarie 2007 ontvang sy ‘n beroep na die NG Gemeente Vosburg, ‘n plattelandse gemeenskap in die Noord-Kaap. Bertine se ongelooflike deursettingsvermoë is ‘n voorbeeld vir elke jongmens.

SARAH SPIES

Sarah recently completed her MA in Choreography at Laban in Greenwich, London. Laban is a world-renowned School of Dance accredited by the City University of London and in partnership with the Trinity School of Music. Some aspects on which her course focused are: modes of perception of dance; composition and performance and components of video and film. She has been appointed by the University of Chester as a lecturer in dance in their Performing Arts Department from 1 February 2007. Chester has a walled city centre that dates back 2000 years to Roman times and is situated on the border of northern Wales.

PIERRE MORTON

After school Pierre lived and worked in Thailand for 5 years where, after completing a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course, he taught English in the North and South of Thailand. During his stay in Thailand, he became increasingly interested in health and natural wellness. He was admitted to the Body Stress Release course which annually only takes in 24 people from all over the world. In 2006 he qualified and is one of the youngest people to have completed this course. He has plans to soon pursue this career in Kifisia in Greece.

ROZANNE NEL

Rozanne het haar Bemarkingsdiploma by die Boland Kollege in Stellenbosch voltooi in 2003. Daarna is sy aangestel as Boplaas se Bemarker in die Suid-Kaap. Saam met haar werk as bemarker doen sy ook ‘n kursus by die Cape Wine Academy, sodat sy haar Cape Wine Masters kan verwerf. Sy dien op die proe-paneel van die Wynsertifiseringsraad van die Klein-Karoo en het ook reeds by die Jongwynskou geproe.

MARGAUX NEL

Margaux het in 2002 aan Principia Kollege gematrikuleer en het einde 2006 haar graad in BSc Agric (Wynkunde) by die Universiteit van Stellenbosch verwerf. Sy is tans ingeskryf as deeltydse student vir haar Meestersgraad in Wingerdkunde en sal spesifiek kyk na die klimaat in die Klein Karoo. Sy hoop dat haar navorsing oor klimaatsverandering baie sal beteken vir die wingerd-/wynbedryf in hierdie omgewing. Sy is ook ‘n voltydse wynmaker by haar familieplaas, Boplaas Estate by Calitzdorp.

CELINE PRETORIUS

Celine joined the British army some years ago and here she is in December 2006 at their passing out parade. She received the best posting in the Platoon (she is the leader of the platoon). She is planning to go to Germany in 2007 where she will start training for a dental career.

KARLA, DAWID EN TESSA SMIT

Karla and Dawid are past matriculants of Principia, while Tessa left with her parents for Canada when she was in Grade 10. Dawid graduated from Rhodes University in 2003 obtaining the B.Sc Degree in Computer Science and Information Systems. In 2004 he completed 2 further diplomas in Calgary, Alberta. He is presently working for a computer firm called “On-line” as an IT consultant. Karla graduated in 2004 from the University of Stellenbosch where she obtained her B.Sc (Human Biology) Degree. She is presently doing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Lethbridge, south of Calgary. Tessa is currently studying at the University of Calgary is doing her third year of B.Sc (Biological Sciences) Degree.

JENNY-LEE SCHOEMAN

Jenny-Lee obtained her B.Drama qualification from the University of Stellenbosch in 2006 and is currently one of five Honours students who will be specializing in Directing and Writing. Jenny-Lee has also recently been approached as an assistant director for a play adaptation.

DARINE MALAN

Darine het in 2003 by Principia Kollege gematrikuleer. Daarna het sy vanaf 2004 – 2006 by Boland Kollege op Stellenbosch gestudeer vir die kursus Regsekretarieel ( N6 Sertifikaat verwerf). In 2006 het sy ook ‘n Diploma in Kantoorbestuur en Tegnologie verwerf. Onmiddellik nadat Darine haar laaste vak geskryf het, het sy in Belville as aktesekretaresse begin werk by ‘n prokureursfirma.

SUNET VERMEULEN

Sunet completed her BSc Degree with Botany and Mathematical Statistics as major subjects as well as BSc (Hons)in Wildlife Management at the University of the Free State. Major and interesting subjects in this course were Animal Behaviour, Veterinary Endoparasitology, Ecology, Environmental monitoring, Planning and Management of Natural Resources. She specializes in the planning and management of game reserves.

USE VERMEULEN

Sy is tans besig met haar 4de en finale jaar vir die graadkursus B.Ed( Grondslagfase ) aan UOVS en doen besonder goed - sy skryf haar sukses toe aan die uitstekende individuele onderrig en ondersteuning wat sy aan Principia ontvang het en sê dat sy met die hoë standaarde wat die lEB-eksamen aan haar gestel het, geleer het om met selfvertroue selfstandig te dink en te werk.Sy is baie gemotiveerd om " 'n goeie juffrou " te word!
